Salvador Technologies, a cyber-attack recovery platform, has seen a rise in demand from organizations in the maritime sector and shipping industry due to the increasing threat of cyber-terrorists and harmful actors targeting the marine and shipping industries. Recent debilitating ransomware attacks in Australia and Japan, as well as increased concerns in the US, have highlighted the need for improved cybersecurity measures in the maritime sector. Salvador Technologies reports that port authorities, terminal operators, and shipping companies are turning to their cyber-attack recovery platform to enhance their cyber-resilience and ensure operational continuity.
The company’s compliance with various cybersecurity regulations and mandates, such as IMO IEC 62443 and ISPS Part 13.2, is driving demand for their services. They have recently formed a strategic commercial collaboration with the Port of Ashdod in Israel, the country’s largest seaport, to improve cybersecurity measures. This collaboration has led to successful trials and full deployments of their cyber-attack recovery platform in ports across the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
