Singapore Launches Accelerator for International Cybersecurity Startups

Singapore has announced the launch of CyberBoost: Catalyse, an accelerator program for international cybersecurity startups. The program, funded by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) and the National University of Singapore (NUS), aims to support startups in the cybersecurity space to expand their operations outside their home markets.

The first cohort of startups selected for the program includes ten seed to Series B-funded startups from India, Singapore, the UK, and the US. These startups will receive support for six months to develop growth strategies, secure investments, build networks, and explore new markets.

Additionally, the startups will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations at international events like the Singapore International Cyber Week and the GovWare Conference and Exhibition. The program launch took place at the CyberSG Talent, Innovation and Growth (TIG) Collaboration Centre in Singapore.

Saj Huq, chief commercial officer and head of innovation at Plexal, highlighted the potential for startups to tap into Singapore’s dynamic market and expand their reach in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. The collaboration between CSA, NUS, and Plexal aims to provide a platform for cybersecurity startups to grow and thrive in the global cybersecurity landscape.
