Invictus International Consulting, a cybersecurity company specializing in technology supporting the U.S. national security infrastructure, has announced its plans to expand operations in Colorado Springs. The firm, based in Alexandria, VA, chose Colorado Springs over Reston, VA, and San Antonio for its expansion, with the goal of adding 130 new jobs to its workforce. The company currently has 300 employees, 65 of whom are in Colorado.

The expansion in Colorado Springs is seen as an opportunity for Invictus to collaborate more closely with military partners, leverage the region’s talent pool, and continue delivering exceptional solutions to its clients. The new jobs created by the expansion will include roles such as administrators, analysts, engineers, managers, and technicians, with an average annual wage of $168,923, significantly above the average annual wage in El Paso County.

To support this expansion, the Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to approximately $2 million in performance-based job growth incentive tax credits for the company over eight years. Additionally, an incentive package valued at $370,493 was provided by the Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC, in collaboration with the city of Colorado Springs and El Paso County.

Colorado Springs is known for its concentration of industry leaders in cybersecurity technology, with the aerospace and defense industry playing a significant role in the region’s economy. More than 200 space, aerospace, cybersecurity, and defense companies employ 111,000 people in Colorado Springs, generating an economic impact of about $10.2 billion in 2022. Colorado’s aerospace industry ranks as the second-largest in the country, with over 500 companies and suppliers offering space-related products and services in the state.

With the expansion of Invictus International Consulting in Colorado Springs, the region is set to further solidify its position as a hub for cybersecurity technology and innovation, benefiting from the company’s expertise in full-spectrum cyber technology and infrastructure solutions.
