Local Non-Profit: Elevating Impact with Commonwealth Funds

The Bi-County Collaborative, a local non-profit, has been awarded a 2024 Municipal Cybersecurity Awareness Training Grant from the state Executive Office of Technology Services & Security. The grant program aims to improve overall cybersecurity in municipalities and school districts. Participants in the program undergo cyber strength assessments and receive training modules and simulated phishing email campaigns to increase their awareness of deceptive techniques used by hackers. The program will provide cybersecurity training to over 78,000 employees from 227 municipalities and public school districts across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Governor Maura Healey praised the program and expressed the administration’s commitment to partnering with municipalities on IT and cybersecurity goals.
