  • NH SBDC and NH Tech Alliance launched cybersecurity programs to educate and support businesses in New Hampshire.
  • The programs include a Cybersecurity Review program, government contracting support, a cybersecurity summit, and a quarterly cybersecurity newsletter.

The NH Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) and NH Tech Alliance (NHTA) have teamed up to launch a suite of cybersecurity programs aimed at educating and supporting businesses in New Hampshire.

One of the key programs is the Cybersecurity Review program, which is designed to provide businesses with up to 500 employees the tools and resources they need to better protect their business from cyber threats. Businesses will receive individualized cybersecurity reviews, education, and a one-on-one consulting appointment with a cybersecurity expert to discuss their cybersecurity maturity and receive actionable steps to enhance their cybersecurity.

In addition to the Cybersecurity Review program, there is support available for businesses pursuing government contracts. Mainstay Technologies, in partnership with NHTA, is creating videos to help businesses understand the requirements under NIST SP 800-171 and establish a roadmap to implementing security requirements. There are also consulting sessions available for qualified businesses preparing to access government contracts.

Furthermore, a cybersecurity summit is scheduled for September 25th at the Rex Theater, with sessions tailored for small businesses looking to start protecting themselves against cyberattacks, as well as for businesses with existing cyber initiatives seeking a deeper dive. Additionally, a quarterly cybersecurity newsletter, in partnership with NH Business Review, will provide education and updates on cybersecurity.

Liz Gray, state director of NH SBDC, emphasized the importance of enhancing cyber protections for small businesses to safeguard themselves and increase their competitive advantage. Julie Demers, executive director of NHTA, highlighted the partnership’s aim to raise awareness and make a lasting impact in protecting NH businesses from cyberattacks.

Businesses interested in participating in the programs can find more information and sign up at nhsbdc.org/cybersecurity/reviews.
