TLDR:

  • Quantum Xchange collaborates with NCCoE in the Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography Project Consortium.
  • The project aims to ease the transition to NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms.

Quantum Xchange has joined forces with the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) to participate in the Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography Project Consortium. This collaboration is part of an effort to raise awareness about the challenges associated with transitioning to NIST’s post-quantum cryptography standards. The goal of the project is to develop practices and tools that will facilitate the replacement of current public-key algorithms with post-quantum algorithms.

The use of public-key cryptography to safeguard digital information is widespread, but with the emergence of quantum computing, there is a need to plan for the potential vulnerabilities of current cryptographic algorithms. Quantum Xchange is leveraging its expertise to develop solutions that will inventory the use of cryptography in enterprises, mitigate cyber risks, and facilitate the adoption of quantum-safe cryptography.

Through the consortium, the project will focus on identifying where public-key cryptography is used in different technologies and provide automation tools to help organizations replace vulnerable cryptographic code with quantum-safe alternatives. It is crucial for organizations to start planning for the migration to post-quantum cryptography now to ensure that their information remains secure from future threats.

By actively participating in this project, Quantum Xchange is demonstrating its commitment to preserving the digital world and helping organizations navigate the complexities of transitioning to quantum-safe cryptography.
